Heliot Restaurant, Bar and Lounge has opened in recently stored grand Hippodrome Casino in Londons Leicester Square. The Hippodrome promises a Las Vegas experience and has restored many of the grand 1900's features. The Heliot Cocktail Bar and Lounge, located in The Hippodrome casino, will revive the bygone West End glamour reminiscent of the halcyon days of the Atlantic bar and Grill. Heliot takes over the main balcony area overlooking the casino and serves contemporary British and European dishes with a focus on dining, cocktails and of course entertainment. Most exciting is that renowned mixologist Tony Conigliaro, of 69 Colebroke Row fame, has been enlisted to develop unique and varied cocktails at the lounge bar at Heliot (starting in September 2012). He will showcase his extraordinary molecular mixology skills and will importantly offer happily affordable drinks prices with £4.00 for a glass of wine and cocktails from £7.50.
Heliot lounge bar is remimiscent of a classic Gentleman's club with sumptuous seating areas and bottle service will make this a sought after venue, thankfully without membership being a necessity. In addition, this London casino bar will contain a seperate room called The Matcham Room that will double up as a performance space, hosting established stars from the West End and Broadway and world-class music legends as well as championing emerging talent. After the show, you can expect late night acts, and a speakeasy bar vibe open till 5am.
